I offer a specialized approach of Myofascial Release

 

This approach overlaps Cranial Sacral Therapy techniques with Myofascial Release.

Myofascial release (MFR) is a manual therapy that uses light, sustained pressure and gentle holds in order to relieve tension in the connective-tissue (fascia).

Cranial sacral therapy (CRT) is a method that feels for movement of the fluids in the spine and cranium, which helps release tension in the central nervous system.

Myofascial Release is for anyone

Myofascial Release is nonaggressive and is safe to use on injuries and surgeries.

You don't need an ailment to receive Myofascial Release.

Myofascial release can be used to treat infants.

Myofascial Release is right for you, if you want to

Myofascial Release may not be right for you, if you

  • are expecting a massage (I use sustained compression and decompression, rather than steady movements.)

  • want deep tissue manipulation (My techniques are gentle.)

  • are looking for temporary relief of symptoms. (I look for the cause.) 

What to Expect on your first treatment

We will use fifteen minutes to discuss your goals and concerns.

 

This includes a postural analysis and orthopedic assessment.

 

You can wear undergarments, shorts and a tank top, or loose fitted clothes that easily roll up.

 

It's important that I have direct access to skin around your areas of concern.
